I realize that who you choose to photograph your wedding day is a very important decision and I appreciate you taking the time to look at my images and consider me. There are a lot of choices out there and many things to consider when looking for a wedding photographer.

Since I am a photojournalist, my photos reflect that, and I place a priority on capturing the essence and flavor of your wedding day through spontaneous moments.

My background in news photography began at a small daily paper in West Virginia, and then progressed to The Boston Herald, where I was a staff photographer for over five years. After leaving the Herald, I moved to Harvard University, and I am presently Director of Photo Services in the News Office.

In the last 15 years I've covered everything from civil unrest in South America to events at the White House. There are a lot of photographers out there who claim to shoot in a "photojournalistic style," but really, when it comes down to it, do you want a photojournalist or someone who "shoots in a photojournalist style?" I've been out to sea with fisherman from Gloucester, I've been close enough to burning buildings to singe my hairs, and I've sat out rain delays in the dugout at Fenway Park.

Weddings are one of THE major events in peoples lives, and my approach to them is as a documentary project for the day. Sharing these intimate moments with couples and documenting the day is my goal. To be there and capture your special day with an eye toward completeness and art, and to provide you with photos that will bring back memories for years to come is what I love to do. Recently a client had this to say about their images, "The day was incredible, and being able to relive all of those moments through your beautiful work is the very best gift we could imagine. We would trade anything we've got to keep those images." Remember that when the smell of your flowers is gone and the taste of the food has long since been forgotten, the only thing you will have is your memory and YOUR PHOTOS.
